VE SS Sportswagon
Hi all, I have attached a picture of cam specs that came with my car when I bought it. 08 VE SS Wagon.
Could anyone tell me anything about it?
What is the brand? Can’t find anything online about it?
Can it be readjusted/tuned?
Anything else to know about it?
Haven’t had a cam upgrade in a car before.
Thanks.

Good All rounder mild street cam.

You'll be able to get it lumpier in the tune of it doesn't sound menacing enough.

Could retard it for more up top power or advance it a bit for more down low.

Mightn't be worth the labour costs though compared to just running more duration.

What do you exactly want to know and what do you want to change?

Hey mate thanks for that
You can definitely tell it’s cammed but it’s more of a muffled sound, can I just get the cam ratios etc adjusted or does it need a tune with it too?
And is “Kap” the make/brand? I’ve never heard of it before and there’s nothing I can find of it.
Thanks mate really appreciate your response

I have no idea what you mean by cam ratios . If you want more degrees of duration or more lift you need to replace it or have it re-ground.

You can get it crankier with the tune by purposely making it not idle well.

Kap may be a performance shop and they have someone grind there cams. I have never heard of them apart from kenwick auto performance in Perth here. Don't think they'd have cams ground for themselves and serial numbering them though.

Mild cam with bit of lope by looks of it....yes can get them tuned to have obnoxious idle if tuner is cluey enough.

Is it worth $1000-$1500 to you getting it retuned & potentially drive/sound the same?

I highly doubt you could grind it as I'm 99% sure it would be a 4000 series roller not a 5000. There's not enough meat in the case harden to grind a 4000 series cam.
