Are these sorts of superchargers any good? or are the side mounted ones better?

Im looking to attach it to a 3.8L Buick.

    Cheers, Errol.

its an eaton blower thats for sure:thumbsup: an M series off a front wheel drive cos of the filler plug is on the right hand side of the snout... so its no bigger than an M90 cos no front wheel drive has that blower

It is an M90, GM US style.

Good S/C but there are some, er... issues, with fitting it to a Commodore V6.

Good eye's guys. Its being advertised to fit a Buick engine, would it fit and what sort of power would it give? How much you reckon its worth (new)?

    Cheers

they do fit on the motor.... but the motor with the manifold on doesnt fit in the engine bay:p if you get my drift... the firewall and manifold have some clearance issues which need some modification to make work without clearance problems

What supercharger would you recommend? Looking to spend $1000, possibly up to $2000 depending.

thanks very much for the help.

    Cheers, Errol

depends on what PSI you want to run... CRS kits are good for 10ish psi...can be intercooled.... but the fuel system and tuning will cost you almost $1000 on its own

Not looking for massive power upgrade, just want a little more than stock. Ideally want to be quicker than stock ecotec engines. Maybe 6-8psi? Is it worth purchasing S/Cs from ebay? Or am i asking for trouble....

    Cheers

Thanks for the info mate. What is the CRS kit called? (or is it just CRS?). Where are the best places to look? Ebay, here....?

    Cheers

i got mine off SC forum for $700. that was a 3 psi kit. smaller pulley will cost 300. tuning costs around 150 if you do it yourself. new injectors can cost less than 300. so budget around $1500 for a properly tuned 6 psi setup, without an intercooler
