you dont need a spring clamp .... unbolt the shockies and the springs will fall out ... if you are to super lows you'll need shorter shocks than normal shocks if you dont already have them .... if not the springs will fall out if the car gets airborne over speed bumps ....

yep, i got superlows in the rear with my normal shocks, no problems at all....
think ull find that u will get mixed answers to this question.

I did mine myself (Holden mechanic) and the easiest way i found was to undo shock and driveshaft (not undoing the shaft wont allow enough travel for control arm to drop) and then pull the spring straight out. Put jack under control arm so you can do shock up and refit shafts, and bobs your uncle.
