Hi guy's I have a VR V6 wagon Executive and am looking at adding a few extra bits just because I can. (I like tinkering) I want to add the Level 3 dash with a patch loom of which I have worked how to do but have no Idea on these extras Please let me know If I can do them.

I want to
* add the little trip computer which sits on the left of the cluster
* add power windows, Is the wiring loom already in the door and centre console or will it have to all be wired will I need a new BCM ?? I do know I have to add the power regulators (Or can I get a kit ?
* add the power antenna with the little up and down switches next to the Security LED
* add the electrical version of the climate control to the dash instead of the dials, I know I will need the climate unit and the long black thing which all the Vac lines go into but will I need anything else and will the wiring be there ?

If I can do all this I will be very happy with my ride.
Cheers.

I forgot to add that my New key is intermittent (as was the old one thats why I had it replaced) it will lock and unlock the door only when it wants to. I replaced the BCM after finding that a new key done nothing for the cause but still it will not work all the time. Is there an Ariel somewhere or is it in the BCM if so thats not the issue. Any help on this one will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

With regards to the power windows, have a look under the HU. there are 2 plugs there( if its included). I think they are 8 pin each. if needed i will take a pic in my car over the weekend. i went to the wreckers and picked up the regs for 75 each. to install the regs, drill out the old rivits and use some nuts and bolts, believe its the M8 ones you need, some one correct me please. it basically an arvo job if you get everything organised.

Just remembered that i still have the link from the thread that i used. https://forums.justcommodores.com.au/threads/how-install-power-windows.26933
hope this helps.

one last thing, have a look at your bcm. mine is a mid and it has factory wiring for the Power windows. and also dont worry about the holes in the centre console for the switch. if you remove it and have a look under it next to the hand brake you will see the outline of where the switches are factory installed. small saw blade will do the trick

Thanks for the info. What is HU ? A couple of pics would be great they will point me in the right direction. I do know I have a LOW BCM so will need a MID no big deal. What is a HIGH BCM for ?
Are BCM's the same for wagons and sedans ?

Not a bad idea considering I want to install a climate control system and level 3 dash. I will get on FleaBay and have a look for a cheap car. Also will the intermittent wiper (one with the little scroll knob on it ) work as a straight bolt on option ?

^ one wire is in the wrong location, VR to VS I am lead to believe.
Never tried it myself.

IMO the Memcal/ecuwiring and security is different also.

I think best to stick with all VR stuff if you are not changing everything.

MAybe shop for a good running VR berlina wagon if you like the wagon soo much. Save you alot of headache.
