Can you lower a Vz with ESP?

Ok I've searched it first and came up they didn't option FE2 with ESP, but can you fit lowered springs in the ESP optioned car.
I was thinking a FE2 kit, just to bring the 18's closer to the guards?
Thank you for your help

Of course you can, ESP uses a sensor and has nothing to do with the springs or shocks

You probably can however because the ESP is something that is linked to speed, breaks, inertia, suspension action etc.
It take vehicle manufactures time and money to not only develop the system but a lot of technology.
I would be reluctant unless approved by an Engineer to make such changes to any of my vehicles and put any of my family (potentially) at risk.

Thanks for the reply s and concern. I was intending to use factory FE2 gear, but i will ring the dealers down here (NZ) and ask now just had read somewhere you couldn't but thought the Calais were factory lowered.

I was under the assumption that my Calais had FE2 but checked the tag and it said standard, so unsure about that one
Easier and cheaper to track down some lowered king springs matched with a decent shock as the springs will be slightly firmer than stock

I actually like the spongier ride as our country roads are nearly 3rd world and I have a feeling kings would rattle the kids to bits.
If we did all town running or main highways yeah kings all the way. I've own some really low 60's Falcons over the years and I'm over the having to look out of every lump or judder bar.

My SS Has ESP and FE2. From factory. So they did option it, Although the Mechanic at Holdens was surprised to see it had it. Weird how so many ppl work at the places yet know so little, not like they're building a secret space ship. So, I'd say yes you can. Just use Correct FE2. The ESP may need calibration as things will read different. How'd you go? Did you end up doing it?

The VZ dates back almost 20 years. Someone working at Holden for 20 years is extremely unusual. Someone working at any dealer longer than 5 years is unusual.
Not hard to be unfamiliar with model nuances 20 years after production.

Us as enthusiasts will be mostly because our commodores interest us. Employers don’t often interest their employees.
