    Then I dont see the point? Why have huge off road type tires and lots of ground clearance if all it will ever see is a bit of front lawn and the odd speed hump on the road?

    Maybe all those Stratford wives like those big nobly tires and all the vibrations you have humming down the road?

    Well my car gets used 98% of the time in the city getting groceries and school duties. However on the rare occasions I get the time, I like to insert lead pellets behind the ears of various introduced species. The roads to such locations are poor at best, and I can't afford to have a separate vehicle just for this purpose.

    Just because you don't see them going offroad or pulling a horse float doesn't mean it's never used for such purposes...

    Plus working under the landcruiser is positively refreshing compared to the crawl space under the commodore, if you can get it on the ramps without hitting the bumper in the first place.
