I am going to be wiring up a WM Caprice auto light-adjusting rear view mirror into my CalaisV (the one on the windscreen)
I have the wiring part sorted, but I wanted some pictures from owners of Caprices of the plastic trim that covers/hides the wiring from the back of the mirror to the roof lining.
I have the trim bit already I just want to see how its all fitted stock.
    Hope this makes sense.
Also does this mirror come on with accessories or ignition?
    Thanks

The mirror is around $200 new from Holden.
The loom isnt available anymore, so I am going to make up my own and wire it up to the dealer option connector.
When I do it ill take some pictures..

Here's mine in a SV6. I grabbed the power from the rear cigarette lighter.

Here are some pics from a Caprice. The auto dimming feature comes on in the ACC position.

Keep on eye on Fleabay for this stuff.

I picked mine up for $15 (which included postage).
The poor wrecker selling the thing put it in a bad section, with a bad heading.
(So I was the only bidder).

One sold a couple of weeks ago for around $50.
I personally would not pay $200 for one brand new. (Just not worth it).
Fitting is very easy, the hard part is running Acc or Ignition power up to the damm thing.

Which way does the plug go into the back of the mirror Zerone? (the one you buy from jaycar)
The side of the plug with the tab, does that go towards the top of the mirror or towards the bottom?
Im making up a loom for the mirror, but havent got the mirror yet.
Great write up on the carmodder site by the way, thats what gave me the idea to do this.

Sorry for the late reply, I havent had much of a chance to have a look at the plug.

The lip of the plug faces up.

(I.E. if you get the plug and the socket, the lip that holds the plug in place needs to face up).

    I hope this helps ?
