Do an error code check.... My guess is that it will be the good old Crank Angle Sensor on its way out.

yeh mate happened to me a few times over the last few weeks... needed a new Harmonic Balancer, Crank Angle Sensor and DFI module... its uncommon to have to replace the harmonic balancer and DFI aswell, but it happens. most likely as harvs said it'll be the CAS. wont cost ya too much, got my CAS n harmonic balancer done for $290... so if the CAS is ur problem, u'll be looking at less than that.
