Should be a factory option to purchase a manual with a vehicle.

I rebuilt my first engine - holden 202 Red - from a maintenance manual. was heaps of fun.

Me too, but mine was a 222 ci from a 1968 XT Fairmont.

I agree.

For example, equipment manufacturers Caterpillar and Komatsu will give you an operators manual, service and repair manual and parts manual with every machine you buy. Extra copies cost though.

How handy would that be with an automotive vehicle?!

I've got the Haynes manual for the Commodore , it's a invaluable reference book for the simplest to the more complex job , well worth it .

Good thing about Nissan's though is that because most of their cars are sold world wide, it's really easy to get a copy off the net for free.
