I am gonna price up a tow truck

This option might not be too bad given the short distance.

When I got my double puncture last year, towie charged me $100 cash for ~20km trip.

I was $105 for 24hr trailer hire (dual axle braked) and about $200 in petrol (nz prices of course). About 340km each way.
Honestly hardly used the brakes as the load was reversed on trailer and towed like a brick. So slowing was easy. And yes with over 650Nm at the wheels, fuel economy and heat were the biggest factors keeping me slow.

But didn't you say the only thing missing was the starter motor? Not sure about v6 access, but if both V8 I would seriously consider starting one and swapping starter motor to the other and convoy them home.

I have been thinking i could cut it in half once i get it here and borrow my mates tandem. I stripped my old Jeep and carved it into three pieces and took it away on my work trailer.
I have a few options once I get it here. I could unbolt the k frame etc and grab 6 or 7 blokes from the church one Sunday and lift the body off. I will figure it out. Father in law said he can help get the engine out, using his crane. Although the neighbour next door has a tractor and we could chain lift it.

I think with a quick look it just needs a starter and maybe a rad, cant remember. I definitely want to get it running here and see if the engine is ok.
