    Hey Guys

Recently my ****ing holden is forcing me to spend more money on it once again. I have never seen a car with so many problems. Will be forced to sell it soon as my pockets arnt limitless.

Anyway my latest problems in this never ending saga are:

My car wont start correctly in the mornings. Will turn over for about a second and then loose power, Try it about 5 more times after nothing then it will magically start. Also sometimes it will take ages to start, Ill draw a diagram (see attached)

Car feels like it only has about half the power when i need to pull out onto the hwy or need to get out somewhere fast.

Also it is using an endless amount of fuel. I got about 150km to a full tank and thats with babying it around because the last tank went really really fast. I usally get about 350-400km from a tank so anyone got any ideas on whats going on.

i'd start with looking at the spark plugs/leads/coil packs then move onto fuel pressure and a new fuel filter, could also be a vacume hose leak or even a clogged air filter will give you headaches.

O2 Sensor? could explain the excessive fuel and possibly loss of power.

    Hey mate,

You havent listed what you have tried already, so Ill go over everything.

Start with error codes. If the car isnt starting it may be getting a bad reading from a sensor. It may be logging an error code. Reading the error code is easy, just need a paperclip. Check the how-to section for a how-to guide on reading error codes.

Next I would check the fuel regulator. It sits at the back of the fuel rail on the drivers side. Have a look in the gregorys or let us know if youre not sure what your looking for. Off the fuel regulator there is a vacuum hose going into the throttle body. If the regulator fails, it leaks fuel into the vacuum hose and floods the engine, making it hard to start until you have burnt the excess fuel.

If you havent already, do a full service. Filters, oil, spark plugs etc. It may or may not fix the problem, but youll be on the right track anyway.

If that hasnt helped let us know and we can start testing some things.

When the cars eventually running and you turn it off, can you start it up straight away?

    Nice diagram too  lol
