    Hey all

Driving in sydney, car broke down on major 3 lane road. Tried restarting it and sounded like it wanted to run but lumpy and then put foot on accelerator and cuts out

Home now, car at mechanics but want a good idea roughly what could be.

As mentioned, initially would be like starving for fuel and put foot on accelerator and dies. Eventually after numerous tries, cranked only and didnt hold any idle at all.
Had been having some fuel sender issues as well. Do 50kms on a full tank etc and fuel gauge will go down dramatically and sometimes when refueling would take ages to go back up to full.
. I dont know if its original or previous owner/s changed it but was crap anyway.

So im leaning towards changing fuel sender/pump assembly?

Thanks if you can help with advice

Is there enough fuel in there, disregarding the fuel gauge and distance to empty? I have run out of feul with 170kms showing on Distance to Empty.

    Update

Fuel pump was issue. Checked last night and didnt prime.

Mechanic checked and had spark so at least its something simple and not a gremlin.
