We are at 2 tow cars & 2 car trailers at this point for our 2 burnout cars. We have been casually looking for a truck, but so far the 2 for 2 is working out the best for us.
Ok so in talks with Toyota and a local trailer making company. Doesn't look like what I wanted will work. So we have decided to go with the 2 cars, 2 trailer setup.
The problem with this is one car will be parked up for months before needing to be used to tow anything as I don't use a car to go to work and the new car we are getting (Hilux because its 3.5t carry and features) will be used as the partners everyday car.
This way we can still go 4x4 when we want and be able to tow a car without any issues.
But thank you for your inputs. Was hoping there was a loophole somewhere that someone had a setup close to what we want but it might have just been a bit out of our dream to have something as easy as this.
The tow car you park up, place it on seasonal registration.....As long as you leave it out of registration for at least 3 months, come re-registration time, you only pay for the registration period you wish to register for....Not the extras that can be tacked on.
Buy a cheap (but well maintained) Falcon wagon or ute for the second one, that way the cost still stays very low. Make great tow cars, moreso if you use better leaf springs, and can be more versatile for cargo.
