car turns off?

VS acclaim,
just returned from footscray with a mate after he bought his new vs, drove back down to geelong, whilst driving round the geelong area the check something train light came on, after a bit more driving, every time when pulling up to the lights it would just shake a bit and turn off, turned back on first time?

any help?

will do, but if they were loose wouldnt the accessories and such turn off also?

apparently the dealer told him it was the o2 or OS censor (no idea whichm)

You can pull the battery out of the car once running and it wont do ****.
The car runs off the alternator not the battery.
If you had a stuffed alternator and the battery terminals were loose then it wont start again.

And yes sounds like the O2 sensors playing up.

Start your car up and just undo the negative battery terminal.

Ozzie if you disconnected the battery you'd break the circuit and your car would stall. Carby cars can run with a flat battery because they don't need any power for the ecu and such. Some diesels can run without a battery because they don't need spark.

Don't mean to be lecturing or anything tho
