car wont start unless in netural

i have a auto 98 vt and it wont start unless in neutral, its the way i bought it

please help ?

Sounds like neutral safety switch may be faulty

how do i go about fixing it so it starts in park like normal ?

Just replace it

Or just bridge the N and P wires...
