Maybe a dumb question but does anyone make CF wheels for our cars. I know that Carbon revolution the company in gippsland make them for the mustang.

I spent some time googling but could not see anything.

Real. What would be the point of "fake"?

You'll probably have better luck looking for BMW wheels. Expect to pay though.

What is the point of Brembo brake covers?

^^^ TBH too, you'd be better off putting your money into handling and using some other lightweight wheel, like everything else it's diminishing returns for cost and that car isn't that light to begin with.

So the Mustang wheels apparently retail for $4000USD per wheel: https://www.hotrod.com/articles/the...nt-to-make-with-your-new-ford-mustang-gt350r/

Seems to be the right price. Quick search of ebay has carbon fibre motorbike wheels starting at $5k a pair. Unless you're uber rich (which is why they com on expensive hyper cars) or actually saving every gram on a track car it seems pretty pointless to me. This is specialist manufacturing so will be expensive for a long time.

^ I agree with This Man.

Considerably less than that sort of dosh gets you some quite decent suspension, which will help handling more than just lightening wheels by that amount. And unless you're tracking it, I think you'd be hard-pressed to feel the difference back-to-back between a reasonable set of aftermarket lghtweight Forg'd wheels and CF ones ... and if you ARE tracking it, I kinda have to wonder why you're tracking an 1800kg car in the first place. :)
