As some of read i have turned my black 308 into a 355 . I have the timing set at +8 and seems to be running fine as i run it in . What i want to know is . Do i leave the timing as is or do i need to change it to suit the stroker ? Not on gas and running it on 98 octane fuel . Cheers.

Shouldn't bother it being a stoker. The ignition still needs to be fired at the same point.

You might want to get the distributor re graphed to make the most of the extra displacement/cam though.

Advance the timing 1-2 degrees at a time, road testing each time until it pings then back it of a couple of degrees. I dare say it will take more than 8 degrees depending on the set up. The other way is to check total timing, rev the engine up to about 3000rpm, then check the timing, aim for about 28-32 degrees total timing.
