G'day, I am wondering if anyone knows how to make an aldl (assembly line diagnostic line) 16 pin to usb interface cable. As far as I know the vr-vs used the 8192 baud aldl protocol with an obd 16 pin plug I have a heap of hardware and also quite a few handhelds and palmtops ready to be sacraficed to the cause, any information or beakthroughs will be shared completely. I am a huge believer in the open source ethos ( information wants to be free) I have done a lot of research into this topic and believe that allot of users would love to have access to all the information accessible from an interface such as this. :d :d :d
you know you can buy these already right? you can get on e off ebay for as little as $40 with the software.
Lots of info here:http://forums.justcommodores.com.au...ions/19665-diy-ecu-scantools-data-cables.html
There is plenty of info on this site. michaelw (the guy that wrote the page above) is one member you might want to speak to as he makes them up. As you can see he has done a lot of work to get a working product and he has shared a heap of his info. If you are interested you can purchase the cable for a good price.
