lol, thats definitely not me. i look like a 6'1 100 kilo nazi recruit (head shaved bald). the boat is fiberglass, we sprayed 7 coats of high build primer and treated it like a polyester spray filler. started the primer with block 80, 120, 180, then finished with 320 on a random orbital sander with an interface sponge pad. all these steps had guide coat in between too. the boat dosent have little ripples in it just large gradual waves (the ones that were impossible to get out without reglassing). its just better than your average boat respray is all (only because we spent the time).

i used AFS blocks on it with stickit papers. i havent used a velcro block in like 5 years... ill never go back

    Adjustable flexibility sanders mn,usa

    Hahahaha!

Did this one last week. Bit of a headache this one, one of the hardest out there to line. Especially on a daf with it's stupid body lines that aren't straight. And the boss didn't have any measurements either, just threw me a few photo's and said good luck. Thanks boss!

So I drew about 2 designes that got whipped off and eventually came to this. Just had to find a happy medium between the measurements being true and it actually looking straight. Body lines throw you off.

Then I got some tape on there. Trying to keep a straight line through those fake windows is a nightmare! :bang:

Anyway that mess of tape turns into this with a bit of chopping and cutting.

And then it get painted! First the light blue basecoat, then it gets masked off, then the dark blue in base then unmask the blue and it all gets cleared.

And then when the signwriter is all done you get the finished product at the top. I forgot to re-size the pics so sorry if you're on 3g lol.

Heres a few pics of my effort back in the 1980's with an HT GTS restoration. Obtained as a freebie, the bare shell was a total restoration, eventually fitted with a 350 four bolt, TH350 auto, reupholstered HJ Monaro seats and various other bits and bobs accumulated over four years. Sorry about the poor quality, they are obviously pre-digital age and scanned from old pics.
