Castrol edge 10W60 noisy

with regard to the penrite sludging posts earlier.. i've got a 5L that i bought 3 yrs ago with a freshly rebuilt motor, runs on HPR30 mineral oil changed every 5000km, would have done easy 100000km by now. i've had the rocker covers and manifold off it to fix oil leaks and never found any oil sludge whatsoever

i run edge 10-60 in my L98 and got no complaints, little bit noisy on start up but its ok once warm

You know what, I'm going to keep an open mind and give something else a try.

Penrite has really, really picked up their game in the last 2 years.

They were a fairly average mob a few years back but theyve really put some good research into their oils lately.

I recommend Nulon and Penrite all day everyday at work.

I have Penrite HPR30 (20W-50) put in my car. Takes a bit to warm up and get to why prefered oil pressure but car is quite quiet on it and runs nice and smooth. Well, as smooth as a cammed 6L can run.

Haven't had Castrol in this car yet I don't think...
