$4k to repair what the hell has happened besides a knackered cat?? Did it melt a piston?? I've seen 2011 VE 6cyls advertised for $7k.

Nah they didnt mention anything about timing chain. The cat sensors and converter is what the code came up as. I'm not looking at spending so much as I'm planning on having it converted to manual..

Have a look on eBay for the price of an O2 sensor and a cat and you will soon see that they are trying to rip you a new one.

Really? Whys that?
Price up a full sports exhaust with cats and sensors from someone other than the stealer. I think for $4k you should be able to get a full system, with sensors plus you will have something better than stock.

I thought for the $4k tag they must have been replacing timing chain sensors and updating the software. Along with a new cat.
