Is it possible to fit cd/radio controls on the steering wheel of a VS Commodore?? Like how the factory fitted ones look like. - Cheers

    Not with standard radio.

I started to look into this, but found I needed to do a lot more than just install the buttons on the wheel. It won't work with an Executive dario/cassette.

Gave it away at that point.

It would certainly need a Calais type radio/cassette/CD player, and soem additional wiring and maybe even e higher level BCM.

I am sure that someone will be able to be more specific.

    Good luck.

yes you can connect the factory buttons directly to any aftermarket brand of headunit that makes an "interface" to connect it too. Clarion makes 'em for VR/VS/VT/VX and Blaupukt for VT/VX. Possibly Pioneer make them but i haven't really noticed, but ask them they might.

If you wanna use a stock Calais/Stato headunit then yes, it is more complicated, you'll need the radio remote module (attached to the base of the high series BCM's) and lots of re-wiring to get it to work.

Another option is just use the aftermarket sterring wheel controls, Pioneer (and many others) do sell these. They just don't look OEM but this doesn't bother most people.
