Hey Guys,
I know this a commodore forum, but any help i can get at the moment would be greatly appreicated as I have had a gutfull of this bloody car.... I want my commodores back
I had put another 5sfe motor into my sx celica, we changed over the tensioner, belt and idler pulley as well. When we changed it over we set it to be about 3 teeth out by accident. I drove the car about 200ks before i found out the belt was out by 3 teeth. I set the belt back to the correct timing, and kicked it over. When I kick it over it back fires then starts, it is also running very rough, with black smoke coming out.... What could this possibly be? My spark plugs are Carbon Fouled as well. Any chances of any damage done to the valves?
