Hi Mate. I have had so many problems with my VE it's not funny.
I had to have the Flap Motor replaced inside the dash, every time I used the vents and changed the airflow from head to feet etc or used the REC button, there was like a grinding or wurring noise as the vents changed position or opened and closed.
I went to a Holden Dealer who put lubricant on the vent motor but that didn't work.....so I went to another Holden Dealer and straight away they changed the Flap Motor and the noise has gone.
Don't know about your screen problem, but I was getting random chimes and the stability ctrl symbol was flashing on my screen so the Holden Dealers upgrade the computers software which sorted that out.
Maybe call your Dealer and discuss these things.
    Cheers.

To day the problem solved. the dealer disconnected the battery and reconnected it then the screen work again.

Abut the noise that coming when i press the REC button the dealer said that it is normal and some VE's Had the same noise.

rmatt, I would like to ask you, dose the security chime flashing when you locked you car in the instrument panel (not that was located in radio) when you lock you car?

the correct fix for the info display not working is to remove fuse 7 for 30 seconds, this should reset it, GM are working on the exact reason for the issues.

Wesker I've not really looked at the instrument panel when I lock my car, I'll take notice next time and let you know.
Regarding the noise when you press your REC button, if it's annoying you push your dealer to fix it. I had a similar problem and one dealer told me the same thing as you were told.....another dealer simply fixed it and the noise is gone.

The reason for the screen not to work, its a fault. The SIC display (what they are called) need to be replaced
