Gday, A problem has just recently started with the driver door central locking, when the remote button is pressed it is activating the lock although it is not quite making it all the way to open?? Although when I open it with the key it is fine?? Question is could it be rust/ dust that would require cleaning or will I be better off replacing the central locking actuator??? Is it a problem job to replace?? Thanks

check the link to the actuator first, i think it has a small plastic locating/locking tab, if this is broken it may not be pushing across all the way, do your other doors open ok with the central locking, remove doorcover and have a look

I had this issue with my VR once. After replacing the actuator it still existed. Try removing the latching mechanism from inside the door and give it a little grease.
