Hey guys picked up a statesman centre console piece with the light for the compartment. I had a look around, couldnt see the wiring anywhere near my gearstick. Does the wiring come standard on vx's? or will i need to wire it up myself?
there isn't a plug for it on my vx exec and i've not seen that plug, is it taped to the window plug and what colour wires are they getting pwr to it is easy enough depending on how you want to do it , always on, with ACC
do u have a better pic of the connector with out glare? so i can see wat pins r in it and how many ect.... it may well b tapped up under the 12V supply somwhere. wat colour wires r on it?
yea mate, here are a few. i had a look around the wiring for a connector. couldn't find anything. sorry the photo is poor quality but it has two prongs and the cables are black and red.
all ready to go, just need to find the connector. you can see in this pic the "up & down" button along with the bulb.
you should have one under there, i installed a console lighting kit i got from ebay. so there is a cable there some where
Where did you find yours lying? i followed this thread http://forums.justcommodores.com.au...0-how-install-vt-vx-centre-console-light.html still couldnt find the adapator, maybe its further up
tell me how you want it work always on , with the pwr windows timer never off ??? it's all there under the console
hmm may have to dig around and pull it all apart na the console lid has a button, when it opens it turns on..
just checked mine and i looks like i joined it onto the mobile phone plug on the left hand side on the lower part of the console
