hey guys

how much is the general price going for to get a set of brand new V8 headers coated? I got a price today from an exhaust shop saying between 490-550$ this seemed a little high to me?

Last set was $400 cash a few years back, not cheap.

I paid $400 for my new Pacemaker 4 into 1's to be done just over 12 months ago...
I suggest dealing directly with the ceramic coating company yourself, cut out the middle man (exhaust shop) to avoid paying a bumped up price

Ceramic coating is not cheap, that's about the going rate. Comes down to how pretty you want your headers to look. Why are you wanting to coat them in the first place?

they look sweet, I was told to do it for heat soak reasons as these motors cook, but the guy at the exhaust shop said I shouldn't be worried about heat unless your sitting on the spot doing continuous burnouts haha. I don't really want to splurge another 500, id rather put the money to the tune afterwards

Sounds like an excellent price for 2 complete extractors, we had the originals treated with the thermal ceramic coating at $450 delivered.
An amazing product, straight up I could notice the difference in the under bonnet temperature.
