Servicing Chadly's VP Berlina a couple of weeks ago I noticed something funny about the brakes. It appears that the calipers and rotors are mismatched. Can someone who knows a bit more about the different variants than I do recommend the correct set of calipers? Fronts Backs Sam
why do you think theyre mismatched? because of the amount of rotor not being touched by the pad? are the front calipers finned? if they are, measure the rotor diameter, if its around 270, theyre the wrong rotors. needs to be vn v8/vp s2 v6 290mm rotors. rears id say are normal. been a while since i looked at how much rotor the pad touches on the rear. edit: yep, looking at pics of mine(pics of wheels, can just see the rear rotor wear), the rears look fine on that. jsut double check the rotor diameter and caliper style on the fronts
Will do mate, thanks for that. Didn't know they changed sizes in the VPII V6 Seems a good chance that the gimp of a mechanic who put these on also didn't know that.
