That is aimed at VN-VR but it will give you some idea of whats involved.

I'm in the middle of the V6 getrag conversion currently. Basically you need the gearbox, pedal box, clutch, clutch slave and master cylinders with hydraulic lines and fluid resivior, flywheel, spigot bush, tailshaft, PCM and manual engine loom (or chip your existing ECU and do some wire work), center console cover, shim plate for floor, knob and boot.
Many getrag bashers will get on here and tell you not to bother and to get a T5 instead... but i've driven both and the getrag was the obvious choice for me.

You'll want to allow yourself an etire weekend to do this job... It could be done in a day if you were pushing hard with 3 guys and all the right equipment. But i'd make sure you've got 3 days free and have anternative transport available incase things don't go as planned. :wax:

Not sure if the V8 getrag uses dual mass flywheel like the V6 does, but a solid flywheel conversion is a pretty good idea, depends on your budget tho. This conversion can get real expensive real quick :p

I forgot to add... crossmember and in the V6 getrag conversion a new exhaust engine pipe is also required, although i'm not sure in your case with the 8
