Hey, I blew the engine in my 97 v6 vs s2 and I replaced it with the same engine from another s2 vs, everything was a direct bolt and plug up, but now I have absolutely no power to the dash instruments, interior lights, headlights, anything!

I have all the plugs connected, battery terminals are clean, checked and replaced fuses and relays and its a brand new battery.

Any help/ideas would be great!

Thanks in advance

Stating the obvious but you've checked all your fuses right? What about the fusible links?

Grab a multimeter or test light and start tracking backwards from the ignition barrel.

Is there power at the barrel? If not go back to the engine bay.

Is there power on the ignition wires and accessories. If yes move forwards to the under dash fusebox and relaysm

Also with the relays.. Unless replaced with Bosch/GM relays it won't work. May even go up in smoke as they have a different pin configuration.

I'd maybe start at the main fusible links then mate. Make sure you have power going into the fusebox near the battery. Also make sure the chassis and engine grounds are strong.

If the whole car is just dead then its going to be a simple problem... Just a matter of finding it!

even a new battery can be flat , is it fully charged , has to be your fuse box in the motor compartment , check the big square fuses , I say you must of blown one of them some how . go other all your plugs and harnesses again.
