That was your first mistake, "Installing LED Globes",

Don't waste you "Time and Money" of LED's in Cars, that were not designed for/with them.

Been there done that, and replaced the LEDs with Standard incandescent globes.
Believe me, Standard Globes will last longer than LED's.

LEDs are ok. If the fronts are a wedge globe try turning them around. If the LEDs are cheap EBay ones then this could explain why the brake light is not working. Unfortunately the cheap EBay gear tends to be pretty poor as I have found.
TBH I'd probably not bother any more at $30+ a globe for an LED the cost outweighs the benefit. I have had a reverse LED fail in under 2 years and I popped a standard one back in due to cost. The other one is going the same way and it too will get a standard globe more than likely as I can't justify $70 for a pair of reverse bulbs.

LED are good if you buy SMD style, I don't think you can turn a brake light around as they are 2 in one. I say you just brought the cheapest set you could find. I've got SMD in my interior and reverse lights as they are much brighter, wouldn't use them as parkers or any other lighting. My reverse have been in for 10 years but I don't drive in reverse to often. If they flickering either its not a good connection or stuffed diode in the led.

I paid around 15 -20 a pair for my reverse bulbs and they were great until they crapped out, flickered. Jaycar sell good ones but 35 a piece is hard to justify for reverse light when a 12v flood light is less than that and gives a better light.

I forgot to mention, if you use LED's for the Brake/Parker Lights, they mess with your Cruise Control, [if fitted]
However you can fit a load resistor,
but again, messing with the wiring could also cause your brake lights in-operative, especially if the resistor causes a electrical fault,
And hence someone could run up you clacker !,
Depending upon the amount of damage, insurance could investigate, and find the wiring has been tampered with.
Simple rule of thumb, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
