Hi guys
I was wondering if anyone knows what changes Holden did to the 3.6 to get 210kw instead of 190 in the vz and early ve's?

Any knowledge is appreciated

LY7->LLT Direct injection, twin exhausts(?), higher compression
LLT->LFX upgraded injectors, intake valves & fuel pump.
Up until last year when the road was finally sealed for the first time, the Japanese assembled version of the LLT used in the Suzuki Grand Vitara held the record time for Race to the Clouds - Pikes Peak International Hillclimb - 2007-2011.
The new Cadillac V6 features a forced induction (twin turbo) version of the LFX (VE/VF) engine variant called LF3 that achieves a nominal, smooth 313kw.

Yes, but LY7 was vz and ve Series I, the first generation SIDI was LLT which appeared with the MY10 update, then changed to LFX with MY12.
Here's hoping the LF3 gets a run before the end of VF model cycle!

175kw Alloytec's are coded LE0.

VZ 175kw's only had variably timing on one cam (Cant remember which)
VZ 190kw's had dual cam timing, and a better intake manifold. Somthing to do with opening more at higher revs. Higher rev limit.
VE 180kw's - Nobody cares.
VE 195kw's had the twin exhausts and possible alittle better tuning
VE 190kw's - Still, nobody cares.
VE 210kw's LLT has direct injection and a compression limit of 11.4:1
VE 210kw LFX has a redesigned cylinder head, intergrated exhaust manifold, composite intake manifold. Also modified injectors, intake valves and fuel pump.
