    Hi.

What is the correct way to change the hoses on VS commodore. I'm looking to replace the whole lot of cooling hoses they are puffy and fat need replacing. I heard you have to bleed the whole system to replace the heater hoses etc.
Has anyone replaced all the water cooling hoses before that can give some tips?
    Cheers.

Its really no different to changing the coolant over normally. Just have to make sure your heater is set to full heat, flush out the radiator and all the pipes, remove the thermostat and flush out the block, and then put all the new hoses on, fill up with the correct coolant concentrate mix and water, 50/50 in the case of the commodore V6, with concentrate, not the premixed crap. Refit the thermostat, and continue filling the radiator up, put the cap on, and then crack the bleed screw on the top of the thermostat outlet. When coolant starts flowing out at a continuous rate, then the system can be deemed bled, then do up the bleed screw. Its a good idea to go for a drive as this can also help to remove air from the system. Also make sure that the overflow bottle is filled up about 1cm or so above the MAX line, as the system may draw extra coolant from there if required.
