Changing vy aircon/heater controls

So I’m looking at swapping out my air con controls (the one with the knobs) and switching it out for one with the buttons and the digital readout. Just wondering if anyone has done this or knows how hard it is? Whether it is just an out and in job or modifications need to be done.

I havent done it but the whole dash has to come out, heater box changed to a climate control box, wiring wiring harness is not the same.
Basically a pain in the ass.

I've done dash and heater box in both V8 and V6, V6 isn't as bad as people think as you can get to all the bolts fairly easily but the V8 is a pain in the a.. Allow at least a day to do it. Not too sure what's involved with wiring as I went from single zone to dual zone climate control and everything just plugged in but going from non climate control to climate control may require a higher level BCM which then requires linking by a tech 2.
