Chasing a VY LS1 Radiator Top Cover

Hi everyone,
My 82 year old father in law has a Vy LS1 Calais and when he put his car in to have the aircon fixed they ‘lost’ his Radiator Top cover. (The plastic cover that extends along the front of the car over the top of the radiator just in front of the turtle shell and air box).

Just wondering if anyone knows where I can get my hands on one for him. It seems they aren’t made anymore and every wrecker I have tried in Perth doesn’t have any.
All help is greatly appreciated

You could use a VZ one. (Will have a spare hole for the coolant overflow)

I’d bet one of the guys working there had a VT-VY SS.

What sort of mechanic / garage needs a photo of the part that they lost.
By your description, Stevie Wonder could probably work what is missing.

Maybe to compare the one their employee suddenly found to see if it matches up....

I reckon the best source of a replacement cover panel would be that same air conditioning repair place. Stoll up to them and ask them if they ever come across a spare panel, could they give you a call. Then all you need to do is wait for the next VY to come in for servicing.

The above might also explain why your father-in-law’s one is missing?

They are currently stepping over a black plastic commodore cover that was left on the floor and no one knows why or where it came from....can you describe this missing piece?
