Need a new key cut and programmed.

Holmart have genuine at $210
Sparesbox have a MAP one at $86
Fleabay have some starting at $12

Looking at the photos they all look identical.

Just putting the question out there for the those of you who have a non genuine replacement key how did you find the cheaper ones? Same 'feel' in the hand? Looks identical side by side? Buttons feel ok?

Leaning towards the MAP one if anybody could specifically comment on that one as well...

Cheers all.

the aftermarket ones are fine, i have transferred the guts of many genuine keys to the cheap shells and they have all worked fine.
if you are going full replacement(including circuit board) you will need it programmed.

Map is one of the brands my work sells. Map outer shell with genuine guts go for it.

Both personal and professional experience always go for a genuine key if you need the whole thing over any 3rd party ones.

There's a guy in WA that posts on FB.

He does those Remotes with the screens like what they have on the BMW's.

I remember researchign this 2 years ago. I believe MAP manufacture the genuine ones. Dont quote me on it.
I bought a map shell and it is absolutely fine, even has the GM writing on the inside where the key blade folds.

I had the misfortune of buying a china eBay job guts and shell. Couldn't be programmed so that's my 2c. Stay away. Get the MAP one works well. If you're in Melbourne I can give you the details of a guy who comes to you does them $120 brand new programmed and cut.
