I have a 2003 VY SS ute.
The "Check Engine" warning comes on sometimes. The car seems to drive fine and has done for a week.
Does this just mean the warning parameter is JUST tripping?
Thankyou

Take it in for a diagnostic scan to get it checked out , it might be something minor , or it might be catastrophic .

Does it come on at a certain time, i.e. temp, time driving etc?

Mine was a damaged knock sensor.

Mine was a damaged knock sensor.

It doesn't seem to have any real 'time' hot/cold, night/day, filled up with new fuel or not.
I will get it scanned this week. But thankyou.

I have the same issue, however mine is on gas and it throws an 02 sensor code.
It only happens on gas while cruising, not on petrol, and it goes away with a blip of the throttle. The sensors have been checked and don't need replacing. It's not hurting the car so i've learnt to live with it.

When i was getting that, i got a diagnostic cable for $70 and it turned out to be an oxygen sensor came to be disconnected somehow, it was bung anyway so i replaced them both.
Wouldn't get an error until 10-20 minutes into driving.

Had it scanned last week. Running lean.
It was a split PVC hose.

Thanks for all your help.
