Check engine light keep coming on

Hello everyone I have a vy commodore my rear main seal is leaking but everytime I go on a drive for 5-10 minutes the check engine light comes on you turn the car off and back on it won't be there but another 5-10 minutes of driving it will come on if anyone has an idea of what it could be it would be appreciated

i could spend all day writing an essay of around 20 pages saying why it *could* come on, such a generic question. like asking what sort of car is that driving down the road when you cant see it and only hear it, could be anything.

You need to plug a Tech2 in.

My got the same problem. Found out the battery terminal was loose also change the spark plug.

It make such a mess in the Boot, and takes ages to clean up !

no i actually think it might be his rear main leaking why the light is on.

Probably best to pull the motor out to replace it,
then you can also do a sump gasket.
