Battery issue aside for now, do you know what the DTC (fault codes) were?

Yes no issues with a higher CCA battery....I have a battery with 810CCA in my VE.

I am having a family member check with his code reader ? I will see what comes up.

Making sure...As previously said, I've been told the Century 640CCA 68MF? < Stick to it? Because I found they sell a 67EFMF? What's the difference, is there much?

Century 640CCA 68MF
Century 640CCA 67EFMF
Both those are wrong it should be a din53 which is the 500cca battery so you could go to a din6x which will give you the 600+ cca.

If you can fit it in a din75l mf would be the way to go.

That is the standard little gutless V6 battery. He wants a stronger one

Just check the century website or Repco website for the recommended battery for the V8 VE's and get that one. They cost a bit more tho because they're bigger..

Hence why I suggested the longer din6 which I think is a din65lmf from memory which will be 650cca

I just checked the V8 listing and guess what its a din65lhxmf. H stands for high as the din batteries come in two hights the X is for heavy duty so 7 plate MF is maitence free and the L is for left hand positive post. So if a din75lhxmf would fit It would have even more CCA.

You checked your SV,6 listing though.
I'm saying look up the battery for an SS or a V8 Calais and grab that battery.
