Does anyone else think the dipstick that comes with the LS3 (dunno if it's the same for the L77) is a pretty stupid design? All the twists in the stick and then the level lines are pretty hard to read imo. Never had a car where it was so hard to push the dipstick back in as well.
Yes. I bought cable type from holden

i check mine when there cold but also check the coolant level too

I find it easier to check the oil before I drive them except for the cars that have no dipstick who check themselves, they need to be driven first.

That whole no dipstick thing is bloody ridiculous, what the hell were they thinking with that!!
