hey guys i was thinking getting a new chip for my ute. i was looking at a the ones on the chiptorque website and the mace ones and ive seen the cheep ones on ebay is there any others worth looking at?and is it worth doing at all ? i am running a sports pipe extractors a mace cai and run on 95 and manual

Definitely not an EBay one. MACE do good ones, good to check what The1 can do for you though, PM him on the forum

I had one and it just over fuels the car.. It stinks of petrol and couldn't really notice any gain...

If you can spend the cash, a 69mm throttle body can give great gains in response especially with the matching chip.
Also, you can say "my throttle body is '69' " haha

+1 for a tune by The1, he knows his stuff and can really tweak things if you have done some mods to the engine

mail orders can work, and steer clear from EBAY
but a more custom one from your own data is better

pretty much youll get set up with some datalogging equip, and so forth. (he can send out a first one without having logged but on previous data he has)
he'll use said data and do one to the car.
good side is, you can use said datalogging equip to monitor the car more often.

I've put a stage two chip in my Vs over here & swear by it - low down torque is awesome. The thing i like about these chips is you get the power increase yes but it also helps on the petrol front as well, you could also hear the difference with the new chip fitted. Keeps a smile on my face driving this old girl round.......
