Chip Question?

I have a 1993 VS Commo, 6 cylinder. which has a stage 2 chip. I have recently bought a 1997 VS 6 cylinder also, which has the series 2 ecotec motor, just wondering if I can put the chip from my VR into the VS, I was told that I can't due to the fact that my VR doesnt have air sensors or something that the VS does... Just wondering if this is the case?

nope VR chip in VS wont work wont even fint in the plug
