Basically, very bluntly..... You got ripped off, those chips are gay, they won't do **** for your car, egay really IS eGAY. The guy who sold you that chip, reminds me of the knob jockey who made the post that ^^^^^ Mack, has in his signature.

Spend the extra, get a Foamy tune, and you will come back thanking everyone who recommended him. Best money i ever spent!

The SV3800 Tune makes a VN get up n boogy - BUT it uses a heap of fuel to do it.

If V8 consumption is OK then use it - I just have a much more economical tune now - like 4 to 5 L/100kms better city cycle. Thats very hard to beat full stop.

Yeah but isn't it supposed to be a sv3800 tune in these ebay chips? I still reckon $14 is reasonable for that. If it makes it use s**t loads of fuel i'll remove it and get a different chip, simple. I just wanted some feedback about them, if they are gay and make your car run like s**t then i blew $14  It's not a big deal.

Most VN's i have seen them in, chew ALOT of fuel, and they idle like crap and have run rich. You can get better performance without the fuel chewing with a Greenfoam tune. Those chips DO make your engine chew through fuel. That's from experience. Even the bloke in the ad says it. It makes your VN run a little richer too. Just send the chip to Foamy and you will be impressed. His tunes are the ****ing ****! I had my VP chip tuned by him, ****ing awesome results.

My car can really bloody move now with the pacemakers, exhaust, shift kit, servo, tune and front bar CAI.

Those Egay chips are burnt by amateurs. Notice every chip on there is an SV3800 tune? That's because it's easy to burn, and it's the most common one available. Notice none of them are advertising custom tunes if you send them a chip? That's because they probably wouldn't have a clue on earth HOW to do it. They get one tune off someone else, burn it into 100 chips, and sell it off to people.

Greenfoam knows his stuff, and has hundreds of different tunes. He knows what he is doing.

That's awesome, if i had known that i could get a better one for $25 i would have brought one of them instead. I didn't see any of them ones when i was looking. I'll try the one i have already paid for and if it turns out to be a bit of junk then i'll throw it in the bin and pay greenfoam to retune my original chip.

Cobez, have you tried a tune from Mr Marobi? or are you just guessing they go no good. I don't know anyone that runs one really but allways insterested in knowing what someones style is, I have seen just about everyone elses tunes over the days but not his. He's sold alot so he can't be all that bad, practice makes perfect!:p. I've learned heaps more the last few months and done maybe 1000 hours on mostly hard case VN-VR tunes since Jan. It's made a big difference to what I know about all this. I'd very much like to be able to make how-tos and post files up on here but the trouble with that the very same eprom burner guys I'm trying to send broke on ebay with almost running at a loss prices lurk on here and scam everything you say or do and never post or help with anything so it's a bit of a technical problem for me right now and I can't really see anyway around it. I've even had to help one of the guys on ebay and tell him several things he had no idea about since he was dragging ebays name further into the dirt (basic things just to get the car to start and run properly) because he kept selling eproms that wouldn't start the car and I had to redo all these memcals for people, I did most of them for postage cost only :|. That's how little he knew about it (seriously) all these guys came to me and said this VR tune doesn't work! help! he also was the first person to get a eprom off me so he obviously reads the forums, actually I will post one of those dud VR tunes he was selling for around $100 for a eprom ALONE for the pure entertainment of it since it wont even start the car and it's a good lesson of the pitfalls for anyone wanting to do a tune for a VR :)

So if this one turns out to be a dud (or just a 3800 tune), what would you charge for a proper performance tune foamy?
My only performance mods are cat back 2.5 inch sports exhaust, cai, and i plan on putting extractors on it as soon as i have the money. Later on i will probably put a set of high ratio rockers in and change the diff ratio up to a 323 or 345 but not for about 6 months (sux being on a tight budget, but i apreciate these little mods when i can afford them). Based on them mods both current and future plans what type of tune would you reccommend and what would you charge to retune my chip?

    VN series 1 5spd-tuned by Greenfoam :)
i just hooked a guy up with one of greenfoam's tunes for the vn-vp. this is what he had to say.
"Yee Haa!! 4th gear donuts! 200 clicks in 3rd! EXCELLENT product, recommend to ALL who are looking! WELL worth the wait, cheers mate"
you try and beat a reaction like that with your $14 dollar marobi chip lol.
    GREENFOAM IS THE MAN !!!!
