Chopa's Mg Midget

Was contemplating if i should bore you with my Midget and i thought, what the hell, why not.

Ive had the car for about a year now. loads of work done to it to get it to a somewhat drivable state without it leaving a puddle of oil everywhere it goes (from every hole it has).

When i first got it:

In the next post we will take out the engine and gearbox to have it rebuilt.

The engine was also painting by someone who likes commodores because it did not match the original colour at all. Also the gearbox grinded into first and also was leaking more than a british car is supposed to. the clutch was all worn out. So i couldnt take it anymore and started to pull it all apart. with no mechanical knowledge

I love these wheels though. AAAAND it already has a drop but im getting ahead of myself:

Not rebuilt but a renewed engine went in with some struggle and scratches

All connected again

Got the roof cover finally

Success although it kept running to rich which im pretty sure was because it wasnt getting enough air so im trying these air filters now:

also the tube for the demister is attached now

1500 Rubber nose. Would have been fully imported from UK I guess.

I must admit to liking those sort of old sports cars and have had a few of those sort of things over the years, including a brand spanking new MK2 and later on a MK1.
