my work thing had a bqq thing on the other day, it was raining so when we got there we were in a function room, sooo much food...... free grog. lots of it, but i didn't drink and my dad doesn't drink. good time. steak, marinated chicken, etc etc, lol... first time i've ever been
Yeah.. I was supposed to have gone to my work break up today.. but uhm.. I had car problems which I felt were more important than anything work related!
Work christmas party, hmmm, I think that's what I did last night, it's a bit fuzzy. It was a buffet dinner and karaoke night at the hyatt hotel. Beer and wine on the boss's tab. So I drank a LOT of beer. After the party ended, a few of us went to the hotel bar and I **** you not, Molly Meldrum was hanging around in the lounge with 4 chicks! The others saw him too so I don't think I was hallucinating.
Usually get a bus and pub crawl but have got a few blokes out on jobs this year so probably free grog at the local surf club and tea. Oh and of course a bit of beach cricket!
i live in sydney and ours started at pier 26 bar for a few drinks then onto a boat called the blue room with free drinks but the boat was made out of glass so glass boat + drunk ppl = walking into or vomitting on glass then finished at retro bar sussex street and got home bout 6am on sunday after gettin a cab with my boss who paid for it coz i was on da way to his house, and i only had to pay for 2 drinks at pier 26 then the rest of the night booze was free, shouted for me and i even won a drink at retro. Christmas party's are good when u work for a multi-million dollar business.
Had mine on friday. Was pretty lame because i couldnt drink (just come off a course of anti-biotics) well, i tried drinking, had one and almost fell on my arse so stopped. Was down at the docklands, piss put on. Only stupid thing was, the drink was Crownies, VB, Corona's and Lights, Wine and Softdrinks aswell. But no mixed drinks (ie. JB & C, because they recon its too expensive. But half the time they're only $1 more than a Corona, not good for the people who dont drink beer or wine. I ended up blowing it off early and meeting a mate in the city for his b/day. Best ever work function was a KFC party, Shounak will back me up on this, Party Bus...couple of slabs of everything, beer bongs, beach, southbank...beach...was a top night
Last year we went out too a golf course, played golf all day, had two buggies dedicated to coming around with esky's of beers and gatorade. I've never been so hammered for ages. Dehydrated + Beer. Then we had a complex one a few days later at the depot, Prawns, Pizza, Free Beers, Rums or Scotches. I think this years the same deal, this Friday it is actually, just loads of beer and food.
On thursday for work we've got a 57 foot boat with a few speed boats trailing (for skiing) out on the port hacking. Should be a great day. On Friday its a night out in the rocks on the bosses card.
