right now i've got shiny red rear calipers but ghetto looking scummy front ones.
i figured i'd take them off to do a decent job like i did with the rears, but i'll have to take them to my parents place to paint them.

when i take them off i was gonna clamp the rubber lines with some of these

so that the fluid in the system doesn't absorb moisture.
would this cause any damage to the line?

When you do this you could as an option disconnect them and and bleed the system while your at it for slight better braking performance if they haven't been done in a while.

When you have them off don't let the rubber pop out or that won't be fun to put back plus find a clamp that will allow you to have it on while you paint it if possible
