Classifi3d's VY Adventra CX8

Ladies and Gentlemen. Boys and Girls!
This is the moment that I have been waiting for. My first V8. Yup thats right. Iv sold the SV6 (ve) and down graded to a VY.

I went the Adventra CX8. Powered by the 235kw LS1. But weighing in at 1940kg's its got about the same performance as the VE V6. Fuel economy is about 14.5/100 so far, which is not bad. But give me peak hour and then we will see.


Its got leather seats, cd stacker, climate control, LSD (rear) and the cross track AWD system.
Lets not forget 120,000kms, full service history etc.

I want to thank Damien from Paul Spiker Autosales in Dandenong. He worked his ass off to get me this car.

mods look good too mate. i reckon dont bother with the rockers and go with a slighlty bigger stall. that should get it going well.

I love mine, even though it's the 190kw V6 - am taking it into the country again this weekend - can't wait!! I want to see if I can get a better average fuel consumption, my record is 10.8 ltrs

the main reason i didnt go for something so obese is because of work, I really need the storage space and security. I carry all my tools in the car + stock etc for work.
Plus im on my P's and not the old school P's with power to weight stuff. Im a flat out ban of V8's unless i get an exemption. Lucky for me there is a clause that states that if the vehicle is used for work and at the request of an employer then there is no need for an exemption. Best part for me, is that my boss is on this forum.

I did find out today that it torque steers a little

I got some pics last night as i was driving down beach road on the way home from work.

Im getting good fuel figures too. The last 2 days have been spent in peak hour and im getting 13.8/100 which is better than i thought. The fuel gauge is pretty ratty though. 0kms to empty = 15lt in the tank
