You’d be waiting a while for the degreaser smell to dissipate out of the seats. Not to mention the damage you’d do to the fabric and sponge underneath.i've seen someone fully remove the seats, spray degreaser on let it soak a bit then blast with a gurney - seats come up like new.
never would have thought of it myself but it's a no nonsense approach.

Somebody l know told me there is chemical in the degreaser that is the same as the one that is used in drycleaning?depends on the degreaser, but this is not true.

He has a old Jeep Cheroke that had a oily or greasy seat. He used the degreaser to clean it & the seat came up mint.
I haven't tried this technique myself.
