ok i kno how to clean out my throttle body well sort of but i have read threads n that on how to clean them sum say to just spray it in there and open the butterfly n spray in again n just scrub with a toothbrus n thats it basicly but others say you need to take the throttle body and do it, does it matter which way i do it cos if it doesnt ill just leave it on thnx
best not to use any sort of brush as they can cause damage to inner surface. You can leave it on but there will be plenty of crap still left behind. cleanig it while left on is still good enough but to completely get rid of everything much easier to take it off, after all its only 4 bolts.. All you need is can of carby cleaner and a rag or 2
and dont get the black crap on ur hand as i learned, or cement it stained the garage cement lol and well it took about a week of constant washing to get that sht off!
Take it off and use carby cleaner and may as well undo another 3 nuts and clean the elbow piece that connects the throttle body and where it says 3800 as that will be very dirty too. If you gona do it properly go to Holden and order new gaskets. The throttle body ones $6 and the elbow piece is $3. When u take it off u will break it for sure if you are not gentle.
