hey guys, iv been told from a mate that adding a few cups on washing power or laundry power in the radiator and let it idle for about 20min then wash it out every well with water doing this a few times will get all the build up and clean out of the system pretty good. good or bad idea??

sorry if this is in the wrong place, i didn't know where to post it =)

cheers guys.

i wouldnt do it, just hool a hose to it and run it for a bit, remember, you cant let the radiator fluid go in the drain or grass

i have seen a rad that had oil in it be flush with washing detergent, but the rad was out of the machine and you have to make sure you wash all the detergent out proplery and on this occasion it worked real well. I wouldnt put it threw the motor tho.
